My name is Chris Porter (@uprightvinyl), and I’m a Infrastructure Architect working for a bank in central London. I write about technology and the tech community, mainly in relation to VMware and AWS.
I’ve been VMware certified (VCP-DCV) since 2010 (4, 5, 5.5, 6 and 6.5), and more recently achieved the VCAP-DCV 6.5 Design certification. I’m also AWS certified. And back along time ago, I held the MCSE 2003 certification from Microsoft.
In 2017 I took part and won Season 5 of Virtual Design Master.
Also in 2017, I became a first time VMware vExpert and gained the vExpert Cloud ‘badge’.
