“Dan is passionate about infrastructure, networking, and security. It started over 20 years ago with building PCs. Since then he’s earned a Masters Degree with a focus on network architecture and design, and over 30 certifications. His career began with providing phone support to people that bought computers featured on infomercials. Now he’s a solutions architect in the network and security space, though he does dabble in the datacenter and cloud spaces as well.
Outside of the 9-5 job Dan enjoys helping build the IT community. One of his favorite ways to do that is by teaching IT courses, which he’d done with local colleges and community education programs. He also participates in vendor programs including being a Cisco Champion, VMware vExpert, and CompTIA SME.
When he’s not working, teaching, learning, blogging, labbing, or otherwise being engaged with technology Dan loves spending time with his family, playing games (video, board, tabletop, etc), watching movies, listening to music, and cooking.”
