James Bowling is a Cloud Infrastructure Architect/Engineer, VCIX-DCV, VCAP5-DCD, VCAP5-DCA, VCP-CMA, VCP-DTM, VCP5-DCV, VCP5-IaaS, VCP-Cloud, VTSP-IV/BC/Cloud/VBCA, EMCCIS, EMCCA, VCE-CIIE, VMware vExpert(x7), Cisco Champion – Data Center(x3), EMC Elect(x2), PernixPro and virtualization enthusiast located in Dallas, TX with over 18 years experience. James has received the 2009 COMMON/IBM Power Systems Innovation Award for Energy Efficiency for his design and implementation of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Datacenter in Arlington, TX. He is also an avid Slackware and Arch Linux user and advocate. James contributes documentation for a few open source projects and creates/maintains some packages for different Linux distros.
James has experience with designing, deploying, and maintaining virtualized infrastructures while utilizing different types of technology to achieve flexible and fluid infrastructures. He is currently Principal Architect for a major VAR in Texas.
